Cambridgeshire RFU welcomes Dr. Anna Stodter
Cambridgeshire RFU are proud to announce the formation and launch of Women's representative rugby at a county level for the first time in our history!
Along with Norfolk and Suffolk we will be taking part in the inaugural Eastern Counties Tri counties competition which will launch next season.
We are also very pleased and extremely excited to announce the appointment of Dr Anna Stodter as the teams Head Coach. As one of only 35 women qualified at Level 3 in England, Anna currently works with the women’s team at Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club. She is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching and Physical Education at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK, with research interests in the processes of coach learning. In addition, Anna has played rugby union for Saracens Women and represented Scotland.
She will be assisted in the role by Nicky Goddard. Many of you will know Nicky from her work at Newmarket RUFC and Eastern Counties and we are delighted that she will be part of the coaching set-up.
The Team will be supported by Steve Drawbridge and Greg Hind and we look forward to emulating and maintaining the standards and success of the Cambridgeshire representative teams.
Please join us in welcoming Anna and Nicky to our rugby family and look out for further announcements coming soon!!
