Volunteer Opportunity
The CRFU is looking for a committed individual to become our new Volunteer Safeguarding Officer. This is an incredibly important role within the CRFU and finding the right candidate is of the utmost importance. You will work closely with the Chairman of the CRFU, and the Chairman of Youth Rugby especially, as well as form strong links with the ECRU Safeguarding team and Club safeguarding officers.
The ideal candidate will have a background in child protection, (i.e. Police, Social Services, Teachers, etc.), although this is not compulsory. They must be empathetic and approachable, while simultaneously retaining attention to detail and resilience under pressure. Dedication to the safeguarding of Young People is a necessity.
Any safeguarding officer will receive the full support from the ECRU Safeguarding manager, and also from all CRFU officers to ensure they can be effective in the role.
If you are interested, please get in contact with the CRFU Secretary Alex Bovaird by 4th December at: alex.crfu@gmail.com, and she will happily send you further information and answer any questions.
